Bhimasena
the second of the Pandawa brothers. He is one of the central characters and is symbolic of great strength.
The Mahabharata has many events which portray the immense might of Bhima. One of the central reasons behind the envy of Duryodhana towards the Pandawas was the inability of Kurawas to match Bhima's strength. Eventually Bhima is responsible for slaying all hundred Kurawa brothers in the Kurusetra War. Bhima's might can be seen as an ideal foil to Yudhisthira's justice, Arjuna's skill and Krishna's tact.
